The Influence of Oral Popular Literature on the Development of Popular and High Culture

Summary/Abstract: Oral tradition can be found in the form of memories and personal perception. This form of oral tradition is known as popular culture. Popular culture has inpact on culture in general. Great artists, writers, composers (Cervantes, Mozart, Bach) were followers of pop culture. Writers Andrija Kačić Miošić, Dositej Obradović used this tradition in their literary works. In this paper I tried to present the ways oral tradition and pop culture is used in everyday life.
