Summary/Abstract: The subject of the sketch is the situation of the Church in the 15th century Czech area (Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia). After the Hussite Movement, Catholicism and Utraquism occurred there legally. Both these religions tried to create their own Church administration. Relationships between the two communities ranged from hostility to cooperation and vivid contacts. It is difficult to rate if more aspects divided or connected them. However, there were tendencies to peaceful coexistence within one state. Religious tolerance reached its peak in Kutna Hora where an agreement was signed in 1485, which was a pioneer phenomenon in Europe.
