Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to identify the relationship among personality, learned resourcefulness and emotional intelligence, and the mediating effect of emotional intelligence on the relationship among personality and learned resourcefulness. Data collected from students of a secondary education institute and the analysis of correlation, regression and hierarchical regression were performed. Results of the study showed that the personality and the emotional intelligence of the students affect the learned resourcefulness of them; there was a positive correlation between personality and emotional intelligence. As a result of hierarchical regression analysis it was determined that emotional intelligence play a partial mediation role between personality and learned resourcefulness. This study is expected to contribute to the literature, due to the first study examining personality, emotional intelligence and learned resourcefulness together.
