The concept of town centre management in the urban regeneration proces of Polish cities centres

Summary/Abstract: Contemporary cities deal with many problems. According to the research the scale of deterioration in Polish cities is high, and central districts occupy a special place among degraded areas. These areas require an active policy aiming at meeting the diverse needs of their residents, including effective urban regeneration activities which main purpose is to strengthen their competitive position and the ability to compete with other cities. The subject of the article in the context of the central districts deterioration is the concept of TCM and the possibility of its use as a tool for urban regeneration.
