The Evolution of Bulgarian Business Ethos

Summary/Abstract: Bu1garian nationa1 character is shaped in some fundamental historic stages, resulting from the succession of the different forms of economic ethos. Our interest is in the field of the patriarchal morality in Bulgarian village, the artisanal morality before the Liberation, the ethos of industrial society and the socialist economic ethos. All these forms would be useful for the explication of the ethic problems in modem Bu1garian society.
