Summary/Abstract: The author discusses the main features of the Latin grammar applied in the polemical works written by Martin (Sentivani SJ). When dealing with the baroque literary creation, one has to take into consideration the style of every individual text. In accordance with Franz Wagner SJ, a philologist of German origin whose linguistic works exerted cosiderable influence on the Central Europe¬an education of the period, the author distinguishes between the simple and elegant styles. Sentivani's polemical works are written in the stylus simplex, and as such they appear very close to spoken language. The paper represents an attempt to find convenient methods for analysis of Neo-Latin texts written in the simple style.
