Making use of patients’ records in financial accounts of hospitals

Summary/Abstract: The information system of hospitals is the source of information for the purposes of efficient management. Information is generated and kept in different sub-systems of which the most important is the patients' records. The data taken from this system are fundamental in settling accounts with the National Health Fund and are fundamental in internal bookkeeping and financial accounts. At the same time, the records provide a history of patients’ health and grounds for mediacal procedures used in treatment.
