Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the Old Czech words in Latin-Czech dictionaries of deadly sins from the 14th and 15th centuries. Three groups of abstract nouns are discussed: expressions based on the tradition of Czech translation (licoměrničstvo), polysemic expressions with metaforical meaning (speklost) and hapax legomena (zdrychtánie).
