Summary/Abstract: The article looks at the current political situation in the Central African Republic. The author first presents historical background and information on politics, economy and demographics, however the main focus is placed on the ongoing civil war between the Séléka rebel coalition and government forces. The author looks at the conflict, its causes and course, as well as the international response to the conflict, including peacekeeping missions.
