Summary/Abstract: The article investigates the identity images presented by the means of ethnonyms. The lifehistory narrative used as а data source is built on the constant juxtaposition of the village and city life. Analyzing it, the author draws out the main body, food and celebration codes used by the interviewee to construct the opposition known (ours) – unknown (alien, other).
