Summary/Abstract: The article presents the stages of the experiment planning that are necessary to ensure the validity and reliability of it. The research data reveal that doctoral students of Educational Research approach the planning of the experiment as the planning of the whole dissertation research; and the experiment as a research method is often confused with the quasi-experiment, subordination, or action research.
