Summary/Abstract: The Far off Realm or the Elsewhere of the Actor. Georges Banu dedicates his essay to the stage actor placed beyond boundaries, who manages to raise above performing a role on stage, without embracing, however, the film actor’s purely autobiographical type of acting. This kind of actor is interesting to be studied exactly because he „is not the marionette of his role”, nor is he his own confident. He is a poet-actor that has to deal with a pre-established character, but, this time, he is haloed by the far off realm, the elsewhere he carries within and whom the fascinated spectator perceives as situated beyond the role. An actor who places himself in an interstitial space, between fiction, on one side, and his Ego, on the other. Both of them are equally present, as this actor possessing a far off realm, an elsewhere, appears on stage as inseparable from his shadow.
