The Purpose of Student Art Group in Specialist Training

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the analysis of the function of student art groups as a form of studies in the system of professional training. Social and personal conditionality of artistic education, the interaction between artistic education and professional training, the significance of group activities for the specialist’s culture and competence are discussed in the paper. Relying on that a theoretical model of evaluation of art groups as a form of studies and the principle of organising their activities, which combine a specialist’s cultural development, his / her socio-cultural integration and professional training, are proposed.
