CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE REPERTOIRE OF DISCOVERY TISZAPOLGÁR IN THE COUNTY OF HUNEDOARA. SETTLEMENT AT CAOI-ÎN DEAL

Summary/Abstract: The Tiszapolgár culture is part of the early Eneolithic period and distributed, in Romania, the provinces Banat, Crisana, Salaj, Satmar, south-west of Maramures and much of Transylvania. The Tiszapolgár culture entered the south- west of Transylvania through the Mures valley. In Hunedoara county, there are some Tiszapolgár discoveries at north and south of the Mures. From the village Caoi, point În Deal, commun Vetel, we add another new site. Surveys in the area of Caoi-În Deal were done and we have gathered numerous examples of ceramics, lithics, animal bones, the adobe remains and two pieces possible of possible copper ore. All materials show typical Tiszapolgár features and are part of the second phase of this culture.
