Business intelligence technologyas an environment for management controlof business processes

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present the results of a study on the potential use of Business Process Intelligence systems which are based on the process data warehouses. This approach assumes a better integration of business intelligence and workflow management systems. The subject of the study were aspects of data sources, recording temporal information in the data warehouse, process analysis tools, visualization tools, and opportunities to explore knowledge about the processes. This publication focuses on the process context of the proposed extension of business intelligence systems.
