The influence of socially responsible actions on reduction of operational costs performer by selected public limited companies listed on the RESPECT I

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents an analysis of social reports and financial statements presented by companies listed on the RESPECT Index, which shows that the CSR, when properly integrated into the business strategy, may constitute a precise solution for the reduction of costs of companies at the same time limiting the negative environmental impact. The study shows that the pro-ecological measures taken by the companies according to the values of CSR result in specific benefits such as savings of resources, water and electricity as well as reduction of paper consumption, resulting in a decrease of operational costs as well as improving their public image.
