Summary/Abstract: The paper represents the results of research and discusses the problem of reflection gender in language. Comparing idioms of three languages (Belarusian, Polish and Czech) makes it possible to detect not only formal differences between the languages, but also common and specific cultural features which can be found in each language. The article firstly attends to enquire the gender in language and describes some views on the problem. Next the phraseological material is analyzed and compared and it is also demonstrated how it is possible to classify it. Both, gender stereotypes in language and gender concepts “man” and “woman” are analyzed on the basis of an analysis of concrete examples. Three languages, mentioned above, are compared with a view to search their common basis or specificity.
