Summary/Abstract: Kaplica Gallery organized an exhibition of sculpture by two artists – Malgorzata Gosia Koscielak and Frances Whitehead – who refer to ecological and social themes. Koscielak lives and works in the United States. She continues the tradition of Polish conceptual art. Whitehead graduated from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. She is connected with American ‘earth art’ and geometric abstraction. They both showed the results of the project which included a map of a river. The map was built of metal elements and showed on the gallery floor. The project was financed by the U.S. National Endowment for the Arts and the U.S. Department of Interior.
