Summary/Abstract: Joanna Ratajczak-Kurowicka paints self-portraits and, also, she is interested in mandalas. In Legnica and Wojnowice, she showed pictures, which referred to both, the Bible and the mandalas. She uses such motifs as clouds, water and earth. She paints patterns, which resemble old script. Her pictures often are round and filled with poetic texts. She likes different forms of pictograms. She uses silver and copper wire to add texture to her pictures. The contour of the human figure is combined with the contours of letters.
