Summary/Abstract: The main objective of this work is to highlight the institutional rigidities that characterize the structure of Tunisian labour market. This is mainly to analyze the impact of the union activity, the collective bargaining and the wage policy on the structure of labour market. These factors allow us to treat the labour market as a segmented space and not homogeneous. Once we have apprehended the form of labour market segmentation and its explanatory factors, we identify some economic policy measures aimed at improving labour market flexibility. This is essentially the revision of the Labour Code, the recognition and promotion of self-employment, the privatization… Thus, we are interested in this paper to check whether the Tunisian labour market is sufficiently flexible to be adapted to an increasing international competition
