Summary/Abstract: The role of modern mass-media in the society in general, and particularly its impact on teenage generation, became „industry of manipulation and illusions“ which is reinforced by globalisation and neocapitalism society. Critics like Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein and others, try to unmask the methods and techniques of all kinds of manipulations which came from media and various interest groups. Also, it seems to be that the wisdom of some intellectuals from the past century like Erich Fromm and Elias Canetti must be renewed, particularly their visions of healthier society without dictators and groups who wants to control thoughts and behaviour. Many of media owners, editors and journalists are so arrogant and selfsufficient that they „forget“ to be responsible to the publicity and young generations, so the media informations and media contents became more and more violent and intoleranted. The advertisers and the corporations gradually become the real media editors, and as result the traditional values of journalism and democracy are more and more irelevant. The main goal of media manipulators is to use a „soft force“ in changing the perception of public and majority of media consumers. If we want to prevent a young generations of media manipulations, it is necessary to define some basic principles of prevention against the „new“ kind of addiction – media addiction.
