Summary/Abstract: The article describes linguistic characteristics of Roman Giertych's parliamentary speeches. In the beginning it describes the values related to the extreme rightist outlook, the most crucial of which are: sovereignty, independence and land. The paper also deals with the ways in which Giertych brings his political opponents and their opinions into disrepute, using argumentum ad personam and more secret strategies, like: perverting the opponents' intentions or the meaning of their words. Finally the study presents the ways Giertych increases his credibility with and persuades the audience of the rightness of his statement, using e.g. argumentum ad vanitatem.
