Social Values in the Philosophy of Christianity

Summary/Abstract: Man‘s spiritual need imperatively orders him to understand, learn, explain and predict, to reach by his ratio the essence of matter, the truth. To learn regulations and flows of people‘s lives and existence of entire universe, to reveal, identify and give characteristics of the Demiurge from which everything began. All this spiritual need is satisfied through philosophy, in this paper the philosophy of religion in the segment of the philosophy of Christianity. The aim is to identify in social values in Christian theory, particularly the values underlying a peaceful, stabile and progressive development of society. We are not particularly separating them, but we emphasized them in every part of the text, and developed the philosophy, i.e. presentation toward social values and from social values: freedom, work, responsibility, helping, honesty, tolerance, obedience, calmness, love, respect, recognition, understanding. Furthermore, individual, marriage, family, broader social community and - in that context - allowed and not allowed, desirable and undesirable, human and inhuman, virtue and vice. From the position of man‘s fate, social value behavior as a condition for God‘s mercy and eternal life. Of course, in the paper we analyzed all important factors which are the topic of our interests through the philosophic system of Christianity, wishing to leave to the readers the possibility for comparison, i.e. observing similarities and differences with other religious theories.
