Summary/Abstract: Hannah Arendt has left a unique legacy of a complex comprehensive political theory where most of its contemporary key issues have been included. As such, this theory has given rise to myriad interpretations, some of which still remain highly controversial. This text explains Hannah Arendt’s theory with a view to issues of responsibility by highlighting the main points in the history of the reception of her theory. Interpretations of her work, which come from within the international as well as the local academic community of contemporary political theorists, address the concepts of the political, action, judgment, identity, human rights and many other issues. Therefore this approach allows for a reevaluation of the significance of Hannah Arendt from contemporary and our contextual perspectives.
