Summary/Abstract: The key controversy of humanistic activity of social work derives from its teleology of offering aid to individuals, groups and entire communities which are not capable to satisfy primary existential needs on their own. Such offering of unilateral aid to the disabled is under the risk to gain the character of charity, which is deprived of true humanity, concerning that it stigmatizes and makes those who are left to Samaritan mercy of the powerful ones passive, dependant and inferior. Negation in the essence of inhuman charitable social work is an attempt for wake-up and stimulation of human self-transformation based on active self-activity and use of own potentials of every individual, leading to moral self-advancement as a specially assigned purpose of man, by which this universal activity justifies the attribute of true aim toward humanity.
