Summary/Abstract: Taking its stand on some Russian documents and memoirs, apart from many Romanian sources, the study analyses the beginning of the Russian-Romanian-Turk war (1877-1878), more exactly, the crossing of the Danube by the Russian troops, near the town of Galaţi. It also mentions the contribution and support granted by the Romanian authorities to their Eastern ally.
