Summary/Abstract: The author brings to light a work of memoirs, not very well known, and belonging to the Russian general Al. N. Narbut, a commander involved in the military operations from Dobrudja, during Russian-Romanian-Turkish War (1877-1878). The Russian army man makes some interesting critical remarks concerning the state of affairs of Dodrudja during those days, blending together the narrative approach with the critical one.
