Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to grasp the structure of an act of religious faith, a primary act in which the subject recognizes the presence of the holy mystery. The act of religious faith supports a secondary act of recognizing something as the revealed truth of the Divine. This truth is announced by the Teaching Authority of the Church, and accepted by virtue of authority. The paper attempts a determination of the primary religious act and confronts it with existential proposition
