Summary/Abstract: The author of this article tries to make aware his potential reader's, that in the womb of Christian Catholicism (Ch. Schönborn states this in the confines of Christology) matures in a evident means the need to reflect on the issue of religious experience. The amount and quality of publications, also those in the polish language, can convince one that the phase of mistrust in the Catholic Church as an institution in regards to religious experience, having its historical justification, has been over come. Contemporarily we are even witnesses lurking for the right understanding of this experience. In the opinion of the author of this article, Martin Buber offers a good understanding of the religious experience. This understanding comes from Buber's statement that “here occurs something with the person”. Buber's suggestion was taken up and in some sense augmented in the anthropological work of Karol Wojtyla (The Acting Person). This allows to show the subjective nature of religious experience, fundamentally dissimilar to that of what usually comes to voice in postmodern philosophy. Buber's proposal permits us to speak of the presentative nature of this experience. This would be evidence of the set back of representationalism to the approach of presentationalism.
