Summary/Abstract: The article argues that Global value chain analysis presents an interesting approach in order to examine the impact of globalisation on organisational change in South-Eastern Europe. After briefly presenting the global value chain analysis (1), the article examines how the organisational change in South-Eastern Europe (SEE) could be analysed with the help of the GVC approach (2) in the light of concrete value chains where case studies are located in order to point out important elements of analysis, needed for the understanding of the impacts of the restructuring (3). Two empirical studies illustrate the analysis: the restructuring of a beer producing company, acquired by European multinational and an IT company that opened a development centre in Asia.
