Summary/Abstract: Influence or independent development? Prothesis in the vocalic onset in the borderline dialects The article deals with the problem of ú, í, ô, v (w) prothesis occurence in the Polish dialects existed in the borderline area. The prothesis are the result of slavic languages and dialects common development or they can also be an outcome of the influence of one specific language or dialect on the another.
