Summary/Abstract: The dissemination of ethical behaviour as well as of the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributes to building of social capital at the level of organization. The development of social capital is related to the improvement of the quality of human relationships − the ability of cooperation, respect for standards and trust building. Values connected with social capital are conducive to the atmosphere of socially responsible business. The purpose of this paper is to present the theory of social capital and to identify the relationship between CSR and social capital. In this study an attempt to define the role of CSR in the social capital of the organization building was made.
