Summary/Abstract: The development of rural areas has a character of local development. Internal factors decide about the directions of social economic conversions in which an essential role is played by social capital. Non-government organizations and other forms of cooperation of inhabitants and their participation in cooperation networks play an important role in the creation of this capital. The examples are European and national networks of country areas. National network gathers administrative structures at national, regional and local level and all subjects involved in rural areas development. The activity of regional NNRA focuses on the cooperation of people and institutions on important problems of local activities towards rural environment supporting the creation and development of rural social capital.
