Summary/Abstract: This article tells as about Ivan Grozev`s biography during the first half of the twentieth century and how his works were perceived The author`s connections with the secret communities in Bulgaria (theosophy, masonry), are introduced, as well as their influence on literature. Literary and archive documents, memories and interviews reveal Ivan Grozev`s place in Bulgarian literature. Ivan Grozev is a poet and dramaturge of mystic literature. His fictional works in notable at the time books and journals. He is nominated for a Nobel Prize. After 1944, many of his fellow writers pretend they never knew of him after the imposed socialist ideology.
