Sustainable development as a dynamic idea of shaping the economic space

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is a short review and an attempt of evaluation of chosen ideas of shaping the economic space, particularly important – as it seems, in Polish practice and science after the Second World War. These include: the idea of uniform distribution of social productive forces, the idea of rational distribution of social productive forces, proportional development, equitable development and sustainable development. These ideas are characterized by significant differences and similarities.
