Summary/Abstract: The focus of the present paper is the review of some aspects regarding the semantic assimilation of words of English origin, of the situations in which Anglicisms keep the original meaning from the source-language (English), of the changes undergone in the target language (Romanian), and last but not least of the connotations that certain loan-words may take under the influence of other Romanian words.
