Knowledge and development of the company

Summary/Abstract: The article describes the evolving need for knowledge in a developing company. Two models of development have been adopted: modified model of L.E. Greiner and original model that describes the stages of development of the company. Greiner model has been extended by further phases-crises: communication, knowledge, creative thinking and a shortage of qualified personnel. The developmental state model includes nine states: stability, expansion, contraction, rationalization of activities and sustainable development. Other states are transient.
