Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the reception of different elements of the saints Cyril’s and Methodius traditions in modern Galicia. The author examines the history of perception Cyrillic as Slavic alphabet, Church Slavonic as the sacred language of the Slavs; the Eastern rite as the embodiment of Slavonic rite and personalities of the saint Cyril and Methodius as educators and apostles of Slavic peoples. Also the author touches the problem of the reading of the book of this thematic among the Galicians and of the external influences on the representations of the cultural and religious heritage of the saints Cyrill and Methodius.
