Summary/Abstract: Kim Ki-duk - the 2012 Venice Golden Lion winner - is perhaps the most illustrious filmmaker of South Korea. Known as for tackling tough topics, he is fighting for his "crusade" statement on freedom of discourse: "You can hear heartbeats onscreen for movies that are made from the soul. If you decide to tell a story you should concentrate on doing it unreservedly rather than thinking about audience rating, asset or distribution".
