Summary/Abstract: System of the judiciary still cultivates bureaucracy pattern organization, which generates obstacles in knowledge management. Nowadays there is noticeable lack of proper mechanism of information exchange and wisdom sharing in both micro and macro scale. Knowledge management in business organizations is the source of the competition advantage. Until now, both identification and instruments that are useful in transferring the wisdom were not the subject of any thorough research. The article answers a very important question concerning the instruments used in business and their possible impact on methodology for the new approach towards knowledge management in the judicature. Using case study method, this article shows the outcome of a very innovative project - the implementation of modern methods into court management system. Sixty courts, such as courts of first instance or courts of appeal, participated in this survey. Those institutions have acquired management improvements. Within the confines of this survey, many communities of practitioners arose as to develop practical solutions. Court chairmen organized regular meetings, to elaborate on the very best management methods. The outcome of this project showed that communities of practitioners should be considered as the vital element of the knowledge management. It should be also emphasized that those communities could be tremendous support for the whole administration of the judicature.
