Library : destination for lifelong learning

Summary/Abstract: This article analyses the state of permanent professional education of librarians in Bosnia Herzegovina. The program of permanent education of B-H librarians implemented in NUBBIH has so far achieved good results, but also pointed out the weaknesses that cause misunderstanding, dissatisfaction and an attack on our profession. The disadvantages of the program of formal education at all levels directly reflect negatively on the education of librarians. Only by the modernization and harmonization of systems and programs of formal and lifelong learning, we can expect more equal relationships and better results.
