Summary/Abstract: Statistics is a science which focused to aggregate, analyze and interpret data on mass phenomena, which is directly connected with library work and services which included mass as an attribute. As libraries could overlook and present the results, value and use of their work, there is need with help of strictly defined methodology to collect, aggregate and compare data connected with different services which are offered. There is laied down in context of matching criteria standardized by ISO 11620 : 1998 "Information and documentation – indicators of library activity " and ISO 2789 : 2003 "Information and documentation – international library statistics", according to ISO standards, library activities be arranged. Within the International Federation of Library Assocaiations and Institutions (IFLA), there is the Statistics and evaluation section which purpose is promotion the gathering and use of statistical data as for successfull organizing of library activities, so for the presentation of library values themselves.Graphical presentations and descriptive statistics offer a spectrum of different methods and models for presentations and analyses of the variables which are referred to library work. It's a very important to emphasize that the first criteria by which we choose an appropriate method or model of facts if we overlook a condition being in the structural context or development in the context of evolution. We choose the model based on the type of variable which is analyzed and accordingly, there are the adequate interpretation and conclusions. Because of that, it's a very important to know basic statistical postulates connected with noted choice.
