The Collection Centres of the Archdiocesan Archives of Alba Iulia

Summary/Abstract: This study presents the Collective Archives of the Archdiocese Alba Iulia established in the last eight years in: Alba Iulia, Gherla (one Catholic and one Armenian Catholic), Sfântu Gheorghe, Târgu Mureş, Gheorgheni, Odorheiu Secuiesc and Cluj. In this presentation one could find historian data of the deaneries and parishes, where the archival documents from the archival centres are collected. It refers to the main creators of the Roman Catholic fonds of the Archdiocese Alba Iulia, preserving the written memory of the smaller ecclesiastical administrative structure. It provides definitions for research knowledge and history of ecclesiastical institutions, but also contributes to the archivology of Roman Catholic Church in Transylvania
