Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of economic transformation in Poland so called geographical trade reorientation phenomenon had occurred, which became apparent especially in increasing role of Western European trade partners. On the other hand, Polish foreign trade with developing economies was diminishing. The main goal of this paper is to demonstrate the gradually growing importance of developing countries for Polish foreign trade in last two decades. Based on the results one can try to assess some determinants for developing countries-oriented trade intensification. Due to weakening competitive edge of Polish economy it's extremely important to develop more effective foreign market expansion models, and the ones implementing reverse innovation approach seem to be the most promising.
