Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the results of pilot studies carried out in Małopolskie voivodeship in March and April 2014. Surveys were conducted with representatives (a franchisee or a store manager) of outlets associated in franchise systems operating in FMCG sector in Małopolskie voivodeship. The aim of the study was to analyze the franchisor-franchisee relationship from the perspective of a participant of the system, to determine the real benefits of belonging to network and to identify possible barriers that hinder the development of this relationship.
