Summary/Abstract: The article presents the essence and the hierarchy of the elements constituting a potential of competitiveness of enterprises. On the basis of empirical research the elements of a potential of innovativeness and competitiveness of small and medium enterprises have been defi ned. Subsequently, an evaluation of the infl uence of the elements of the potential of small and medium enterprises on their competitiveness and innovativeness has been made
