Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of this article is to present the findings of consumer stated preferences as far as a hotel selection and as a result to identify the current trends in the hospitality market. The conducted study involves: identifying the hotel choice attributes, which can effect stimulating and distimulating, recognition of the hotels’ profiles with the highest and lowest likelihood of selection and the effect of some consumer characteristics (age and income). Discrete choice methods were applied both on the stage of primary data collection and their analysis, thereby showing their usefulness in the analysis of hospitality services market. Multinomial, conditional and mixed logit models were estimated using DiscreteChoice R package. The results demonstrate the practical utility of discrete choice methods in hospitality research.
