Summary/Abstract: Correlating the observations and the results of all activities during our research, we find that the Internet represents a challenge socially and it use in education involves an art to transform the power of these resources in the power of learning, a power to develop educational scenarios that optimally integrate Internet into traditional education. Educational potential of the Internet cannot be exploited without effort. There emerges, as a prime necessity, the need to address research in this area - the ways in which Internet can be used to effectively improve education - both enthusiastically and critically. As shown in the analysis of curriculum documents and of conducted lessons, educational potential of the Internet is not only related to the transfer of information and communication but can be extended to form a diverse set of skills and develop attitudes, behaviours and values. The impact of the Internet on the educational process affects the skills and the roles of students and teachers, sometimes only creating minor changes in educational systems, and sometimes complete transformations in others. The Romanian educational system is open to changes in training programs, but what is more important are the implications of the transformations that is visible in attitudes, values and behaviours. The changes will develop over time at multiple levels, as long as the critical complementary competences are valued, not necessarily the actual specialisation. The expected results and measured social appreciation determine the changes specified within the educational policies. The use of new technologies has become a necessary skill for teachers and students for the curricular achievement of other disciplines.
