Summary/Abstract: Starting by accepting that the laterality represents the functional inequality of the cerebral hemispheres and from the premise that even this inequality can be attenuated by training, it never completely disappear, we'll try to show this aspect to the medium level martial arts black belt athletes. The hypothesis of this research is that the laterality can be highlight by analyzing the cinematic parameters of the so considered automatically moves. In this purpose we used the MOVEN equipment for following the moves with the inertial navigation sensors. We did position acquisitions of the segments on the base of trajectory of the fist, and to the angles between the segments. The data acquisitions where realized to the bimotry laboratory of the National Institute of Sport Research from Bucharest. We used the MOVEN equipment from Xsense, three Shotokan karate athletes from the Sport Club AIKO Bucharest, with a 5-15 years’ experience in this sport. They had done kata Heian Nidan. For each athlete where made 3 data acquisition sessions. Then, following the avatar recording, given by the dedicated soft of the equipment, we choose the time intervals we analyzed and compare the angles between arm-forearm, arm-vertical, upper leg - lower leg for highlighting the execution difference of the identical positions (tempo 1, 2, 3 to the left and 4, 5, 6 to the right). This angles where calculated for arms and legs on both sides.
