Classification of cooperative banks according to their financial situation using the median

Summary/Abstract: The main goal of the article is to classify cooperative banks belonging to the re-gional association SGB taking into account their financial situation in the period of several years. Thanks to this approach it was possible to establish which banks had taken the oppor-tunity the best and improved their competitiveness on the market. To achieve the main aim the method proposed by D. Strahl and based on the median was used. It seems reasonable because the cooperative banks are characterized by a diverse scale and the structure of their activity.
